This piece is a recreation of a family photo from the 80s. The men are wearing lungis, traditional to South India, that my grandfather had bought for all of them from Bahrain for a wedding. This is the last painting of mine I was able to show my grandfather before he passed, and he chose the name for it as well. Each lungi was hand-embroidered before being attached to the canvas.
